Zinfandel, 2014 Lencioni, Dry Creek Valley
A lean and terroir driven Zin. Your can taste the vineyard in this one!
Opens with pleasant pepper and anise on the nose and bright red fruits on the palate. Medium body with grippy tannins and an old-world style. A bright acidity makes it a natural with any rich Italian foods like mushroom stuffed raviolis in cream sauce.
Hand picked and sorted, machine crushed and de-stemed. Cold soaked for 6 days, wild yeast fermentation for 8 days at 80 degrees. Pressed directly to tank then clean racked into barrels the next day.
