Silhouette Rouge #117, Non-Vintage Red Blend
The idea for this wine, non-vintage, unrevealed grape varietals and their place of origin, is ironically enough to demystify the pleasure of wine consumption. After all, there really are only two types of wine, the ones we Like and the ones we don’t
Big all purpose red wine - very smooth mouth filling fun loving. On the nose, dried black fruit and coffee grounds with a hint of mint. Smooth mouth entry with round tannins balanced with mouth watering acidity....the finish is finely woven hints of smoke and toasty oak notes, lingers on quite well (Decant where possible for up to one hour) 90 Points California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition
Hand picked and crafted
The Silhouette of Sonoma Brand was conceived by Vincent Salerno in 2009. The wines are made entirely from Sonoma County Vineyards and are primarily French and Italian Varietals. This first bottling is a Cuvee from 12 different lots and includes 3 different vintages and was dubbed #117 ...this affords a lot of latitude and the ability to blend to an exact flavor profile.
Barrel aged in 10% new American Oak and 3-4 year old French Oak barrels
